National Night Out Oct. 7
Texas only is testing a pilot program to hold National Night Out in October rather than August due to the heat, humidity and mosquito problems prevalent in August. Idylwood is participating again this year and you don't want to miss out. Here's what's in store....

Kevin Roberts has once again agreed to don his chef's hat and act as Idylwood's Grillmeister this year serving up hot dogs and all the trimmings. Come meet your neighbors, put faces to names, join a Civic Club committee and make a stand against crime.
National Night Out is designed to:
- heighten crime prevention awareness;
- generate support for and participation in local anticrime programs;
- strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships; and
- send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
