Neighborhood Watch Program Underway
Although Idylwood is already a very safe neighborhood compared to many others, Idylwood is considering joining the Houston Police Department's Neighborhood Watch Program.

Two of the goals are to promote a safer neighborhood and to increased property values. The program involves free training for one two-hour meeting, magnetic signs for patrollers, and only about one hour per person per month patrolling, which can be combined with walking the dog, time at the park or any other out-in-the-neighborhood activity.
