Idylwood to be Part of Automated Recycling Pilot Program

Idylwood has been selected to be part of the Automated Recycling Pilot Program sponsored by the City of Houston Solid Waste Management.

Idylwood residents will receive a 96-gaqllon green cart (similar to the black automated garbage can) for recycling. These new carts will arrive in the neighborhood starting August 12 and the first collection under the new pilot program will begin on August 24. The existing green bins will be retrieved on August 10.

Resident participation and feedback is essential to the success of this new program. Carts have serial numbers on them and should remain with the address to which they are assigned.
