
The next meeting of the Idylwood Garden Club will this Saturday, November 1, at Tim Kirwin’s home at 6635 Lindy Lane.
The featured guest speaker will be Karen Gordon of Fruit Share Houston, a non-profit organization, and her topic will be “Planting and Harvesting Citrus for Those in Need”. Karen will explain how she and her husband, Kent Keith, had an idea of how to make a difference in the community and have watched the fruits of their labor blossom! Karen will also include information about the garden that Kent started at Casa Juan Diego and how it has been successful. The meeting format will be as follows:
- 10:00 a.m.
- Meet, greet, and sign in.
- 10:10 a.m.
- Guest speaker/Program begins; Q & A
- 11:00 a.m.
- Program ends; buffet begins
- 11:15 a.m.
- Return to seat with food; Club business meeting begins
- 12:00 p.m.
- Meeting adjourns
As usual, we will have a few door prizes, great food, and fellowship. Remember to mark your calendars for the Saturday, December 6 meeting at Yolanda Alvarado’s home on Fairfield for our Annual Holiday Gathering and fun gift exchange.
