The IDYLWOOD GARDEN CLUB PLANT SALE on Saturday, April 2 between 9 AM and noon at 1704 Idylwood Drive at Lindy Lane will have EASY TO GROW red, coral, and blue salvias from neighborhood gardens. Let’s feed the endangered bees and Monarch butterflies! We will also have a great selection of many other plants, painted pots, and yard art &emdash; all at bargain prices!! Across the street grows that giant yellow-flowered Angel Trumpet that makes you think, “I bet it’s too hard to grow a plant that big and beautiful.” Not so, but only 8 EASY TO GROW plants for sun or bright shade are available for sale (not for yards with dogs because all parts are poisonous). Plants are from local gardens.
Headed down Sylvan toward Wayside, you pass that wonderful garden with the purple flower border that blooms for months. You want that border which handles sun and bright shade. The EASY TO GROW KATY RUELLIA plants from neighborhood gardens will also be available, as well as EASY TO GROW SUCCULENTS, including the blue agave and two variegated agaves, along with cactus, 3 kinds of aloes, and 2 kinds of kalanchoes. Great for sun or the bright shade of porches and patios because they need little water, once established.
