Super Neighborhoods 64 and 88 will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, starting at 6:30 PM, at the St. Austin Center. Anyone is welcome at any of the SN meetings.
This will be the opportunity for our and other groups to ask additional questions and express their opinions about the proposed Botanical Garden to be built on the grounds of the Gus Wortham Golf Course. Jeff Ross of the Houston Botanic Garden will be there and we need the support of the community who is in favor of saving historic Gus Wortham Park Golf Course, our wildlife environment, East End Green Space, and golf course since 1908 — RICH IN HISTORY!
Please invite all golfers, interested parties, and folks from the Houston community and global community. Please visit our petition online: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/970/494/439/save-gus-wortham-park-golf-course/.
And please sign our in-person petition anywhere you may see someone standing up for our historic Gus Wortham Park Golf Course. The website for Friends of Gus Wortham is being revamped and will be displayed on the internet soon.
[SN is designed to bring all the civic clubs / associations in our area together for a grand meeting versus individual meetings amongst each individual neighborhood.]
