About Our Committees
Deed Restriction Committee

The Deed Restrictions Committee is responsible and has the right to enforce the current deed restrictions in Idylwood. A legal or real estate background is helpful but not necessary.

Community Improvement Committee

This committee is in charge of Bayou cleanups, tree plantings, Spurlock Park beautification and cleanup, and other similar activities.

Communications Committee

This committee is in charge of the Idylwood newsletter, web site, and social media activities.

Welcoming Committee

This committee is in charge of welcoming new homeowners to Idylwood, including preparing small gift baskets and taking them to the new residents.

Recommendations for Applicants
Each member of a committee should have a basic understanding of the Idylwood By-Laws and Deed Restrictions. A committee member should be able to clearly rationalize each decision the committee makes, and that decision should map back to the Deed Restrictions or the By-Laws. Members should be able to dedicate 1-2 hours per month for volunteer activities in connection with each committee on which they serve.
